Youth Alpha Weekend 2011
70+ volunteers help create Vision’s most
exciting Youth Alpha weekend yet
Vision’s annual Youth Alpha Weekend took place
on 19-20 November in Rawtenstall.
This year’s Weekend involved 16 action-packed
hours across five different locations in Rawtenstall
and was attended by over 60 young people
including an amazing team of teenagers who have
been leading our Youth Alpha groups every Friday.
The fun began on Saturday morning at St Mary’s
Church before teams headed for the hills for our
adventure afternoon with 10 challenges including
a specially constructed assault course, blindfolded
football, ‘rocket’ launching and a zip wire! After
fireworks and marshmallow toasting on the bonfire,
teams walked back to Rawtenstall to put together
Christmas shoeboxes for International Aid Trust.
